Commission a Work
Lush Magnolia Studio accepts a limited number of commissioned works each year. Every commission is artist-led and process-driven — developed in sequence, with care, and without rushing toward a finish.
WHAT THE STUDIO CREATES
Commissions may include furniture, wall works, sculptural objects, functional pieces, and exploratory projects involving new forms or materials. The studio regularly works with flowers, botanicals, wood, metal, resin, and collected personal objects.
Not all work is published or photographed. Some commissions begin without a direct visual reference. Clients seeking something new, unfamiliar, or entirely untested are encouraged to inquire — these are often the most rewarding projects.

WHO COMMISSIONS ARE FOR
A commission isn’t only for a wedding day or a loss. It’s for anyone who wants something made with intention — from materials that carry meaning, or simply from flowers that deserve to last.

-
Brides commission pieces from their wedding flowers — not as a recreation of the bouquet, but as something new, made from what was real. A piece that holds the day without trying to freeze it.

-
Families and individuals preserving memorial flowers. These commissions are handled with extra care and patience, and there is no pressure on timeline. The studio understands that grief moves on its own schedule.

-
Flower lovers without a sentimental occasion. You don’t need a wedding or a loss to commission a piece. If you love botanicals and want them preserved as enduring artwork in your home, the studio sources flowers in a palette and composition developed for you.

-
Collectors, designers, and homeowners seeking singular sculptural work — pieces that anchor a room, balance a space, or stand on their own as art objects, with no sentimental story required.

-
Anyone marking a milestone. Births, anniversaries, graduations, retirements — chapters worth holding onto in something more lasting than a photograph or a card.

If your reason isn’t on this list, reach out anyway. The studio’s most rewarding commissions are often the unexpected ones.

WHO THE STUDIO WORKS WITH
The studio is best suited for clients who value artistic interpretation, are comfortable with the natural variation inherent in handmade work, and are open to a process that prioritizes quality over speed.
If that describes you, we’d love to hear about your project.

What we make
-
Tables & Furniture
Custom resin tables and furniture — from side tables and coffee tables to dining surfaces and consoles. Developed collaboratively and built to your space. Available with wedding or memorial flowers, studio-sourced botanicals, or as purely art-driven pieces.
-
Wall Works
Sculptural wall pieces that function as dimensional art. From intimate framed works to large-format architectural panels. Each piece is designed for a specific wall, scale, and room.
-
Sculptural Objects
Lamps, bookends, display objects, and one-of-a-kind collected works. These pieces are designed to anchor a surface, tell a story, and resist easy categorization.
-
Trays & Heirloom Pieces
Smaller-scale functional works — resin trays, framed flower preservation, keepsake pieces. An accessible entry point to the studio’s work and one of the most gifted commission types.
-
Concept Commissions
The studio accepts a small number of commissions that don’t fit any existing format — new scales, new materials, architectural elements, or entirely new ideas. These projects are developed through research, prototyping, and close collaboration. Inquire to discuss.
